This recreation program is offered for boys and girls in grades K-5, all skill levels. There are no try outs or cuts in recreation youth baseball. All players receive a team shirt and hat.These programs are run by volunteer coaches who work closely with the kids to help them improve their skills and build self esteem. Emphasis is placed on teaching sportsmanship, FUNdamentals rules of the game with safety being our priority.Without our volunteer coaches, these programs cannot be offered.  Please consider volunteering to coach. 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM    High School Ultimate Frisbee - Ultimate Frisbee
Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.
 
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM    Middle School Ultimate Frisbee - Middle School Ultimate Frisbee
Join the Middle School Ultimate Frisbee club!First practice - Friday, April 12th (inside Shaw Gym). Practices will be inside Shaw gym on Fridays until we are able to get onto the fields. Once we are able to get outside, Practices will be at Village School Mondays & Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm.Scrimmages against surrounding towns will be schedule throughout the season.

If your child is entering kindergarten in the fall of 2024 this is your chance to play ball!Mini Mitts is a parent & child interaction activity offered by Gorham Recreation Department. This is a great opportunity for young pre-school age players to get outside while learning about the basics of baseball/softballParents are required to participateMini Mitts will be offered on Tuesday's and Thursday's beginning on May 21st and running until June 4th. There will be 5 practices. There will be three sessions offered: 4:30pm to 5:15pm @ Village School- Upper Field 2 5:30pm to 6:15pm @ Village School- Upper Field 2 6:30pm to 7:15pm @ Village School- Upper Field 2 Max number of participants per session: 15Participants need a gloveCost: $55

King Arthur Baking Company & Country Store TourNew Hampshire & VermontThis one-night overnight trip is for the baking enthusiast and nostalgia lover. Travel with us to Bellows Falls and Norwich, Vermont where our first stop will be the infamous Vermont Country Store where you will find toys from childhood, walk down rows of penny candy, smell nostalgic fragrances, and more. Next, we will visit King Arthur Baking Company and enjoy lunch (on your own) in their café after shopping. We will then make our way to our accommodations for the night in Plymouth, NH at the Common Man Inn & Spa. The next day will take us to two more country stores and a visit to Red’s Shoe Barn in Dover, NH before we make our way home. Trip includes transportation in 15-passenger van and overnight accommodations. Breakfast on Thursday included, all other meals are on your own. Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.

Calling all Gorham churches, community organizations, clubs, neighborhood groups, businesses, school groups, sports clubs and groups, and anyone else wishing to be part of the Memorial Day Parade!  Parade steps off at 11am and ends at Eastern Cemetery on Johnson Rd. There is no charge to be in the parade. All we ask is that you register your float or unit so we can plan accordingly for the ”line up” on the morning of the parade. Register online Line up begins at 10am - parade leaves Village School at 11am. Lincoln Street will be closed from 10am-11am for Parade Line up. If you need to access Village School to drop off parade participants or to participate in the parade,  please use an alternative route. For Safety's Sake : No Throwing ANY THING from ANY WHERE. Thank you.

Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.

Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.

Join the Middle School Ultimate Frisbee club!First practice - Friday, April 12th (inside Shaw Gym). Practices will be inside Shaw gym on Fridays until we are able to get onto the fields. Once we are able to get outside, Practices will be at Village School Mondays & Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm.Scrimmages against surrounding towns will be schedule throughout the season.

Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.

Join the Middle School Ultimate Frisbee club!First practice - Friday, April 12th (inside Shaw Gym). Practices will be inside Shaw gym on Fridays until we are able to get onto the fields. Once we are able to get outside, Practices will be at Village School Mondays & Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm.Scrimmages against surrounding towns will be schedule throughout the season.

Join Gorham’s High School, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee team!Fast action and lots of fun. Ultimate is a unique sport that is both competitive and focused on “spirit of the game.”  We will be joining the Maine High School Spring league with games on Tuesdays at Wainwright or the New Gloucester Fairgrounds.Once registered with Gorham Rec, players will need to register as an “affiliate player” on the USA Ultimate website (play.usaultimate.org) and pay the $18 registration fee. Practice starts 4/12/24Practices will be Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Shaw Gym until we are able to get outside. Once we are able to practice outside, practices will be Mondays and Fridays 5:30pm-7:00pm at Village School. *Registration includes a frisbee, jersey and transportation to games*Additional tournament fees are not included in the registration fee.

Join us for 3 days for skills, drills, games and fun!  This basketball camp is geared towards players that have participated, or plan to participate, in the GYBA program and looking to continue to improve their game!Instruction will be lead by Gorham Middle School Physical Education Teacher, Michele Higgins, as well as some former GHS Varsity boys and girls basketball players.  Items needed each day: size 6 basketball (28.5"), basketball sneakers, water bottle, snack, lunch Boys camp:  rising 4-6 graders June 12th, 13th, and 14th from 9:00am-3:00pm @ GMS Girls camp:  rising 4-6 graders June 17th, 18th, and 20th from 9:00am - 3:00pm @ GMS
